Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I edit or delete my practice signup?
A. You must be logged in to SignUp Genius to edit or delete a signup. Going there straight from a reminder email won't work unless you are logged in. Once you are logged in, just find the sign up and click the edit or delete box beneath your swimmer's name.
Q. How do I change/view/cancel my volunteer signup?
A. All volunteer signups will be done through SignUp Genius this season. Please edit signups the same as you would for practice. Please do not cancel the day of the meet (or the night before) without notifying our volunteer coordinator (see contact info below) so we can arrange a sub.
Q. How do I change my account information (email, phone number, etc.)?
A. Log in to the parent portal. On the home page (VIEW PROGRAMS), click on the program in which your child is entered (ie "6 & Under Boys" or "9-10 Girls"). This will display all the information you entered when registering your child. Most fields can be edited here. If the field you wish to change cannot be edited, please contact and we can change it for you. If you have more than one child, please be sure to make any changes for each child.
Q. What should I do if I am going to be late to (or need to leave early from) a meet?
A. Because the meets are so short this year, and logistics are more complicated than usual, we will not be able to accommodate swimmers who need to arrive late or leave early. Please commit to being at the meet the entire time.
Q. What should I do if I am going to miss a meet at the last minute?
A. Please let us know ASAP if your swimmer is going to unexpectedly miss a meet after being entered. This will allow us to shuffle swimmers to fill empty lanes and keep the meets running efficiently, which will be very important this season. Even if communicated later, at least we can arrange a substitute swimmer for any relays so that three other swimmers aren't disappointed. No-showing a meet can be very unfair to your teammates!
Q. Where do I go to check in for a meet?
A. Swimmers will be checked in by a coach at the pool entrance this season (similar to practice check-in).
Q. Will practice be cancelled if it's raining? How will I know if practice is cancelled?
A. We will still swim in the rain! Unless there is thunder or lightning or heavy rain at the pool, practices will go on as usual. If practice is canceled, you will receive an email. Click here to see our full weather policy.
Q. Why am I not receiving text messages?
A. The Active text messaging system is cumbersome and unreliable. We will use text for weather updates during meets when we can, but usually email will be used for urgent communications, so be sure to check your email during any weather situations.
